About Me

My photo
Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus
I was born Gaius Octavius in the town of Velitrae, near Rome, on September 23, 63 B.C. My great-uncle, Julius Caesar, had taken an interest in me since I was very young because I was related to him. When I was in my late teens, I was sent to Apollonia, Greece to study and train with Roman legions. It was here when I was 18 that I learned about Caesar’s death and that I was his heir. So I decided to go to Rome and claim what was rightfully mine and to avenge my great-uncle’s death. In Rome, I found Mark Antony and Aemilius Lepidus in power after Caesar’s death. I was granted power by the senate so Antony, Lepidus, and I formed a triumvirate. The other two thought that I was not worthy of power and wanted all the power for themselves so civil war raged on until I came out as the victor and I became Emperor of Rome.
